We had only one woman cleaner but she did not work out. All she did was complain. He had great patience with her but finally let her go. I just avoided her.
In those days people who did my job were called assistants, not techs. They trained us themselves. Today we have very well trained techs that were taught a hell of a lot more than I was. I worked in the back of the hosp with the vets who did surgery, daily exams of the animals there for more than a day, helped take the x-rays and filed them, made sure animals under anesthesia were doing OK, make sure they were turned after surgery... and seldom saw the people up front, or they me.
