Re: Latest from the Border - Carol
Before our PR neighbors went MIA they spent a few weeks visiting their families in PR. They had some heartbreaking stories to tell when they came back. People still having no electricity. Stores still closed. People still living in homes unfit to live in - still waiting for aid, for some kind of help. Whole neighborhoods still a disaster area. Businesses ruined. The drug company there that makes infusible Benadryl used in cancer clinics is still not up and running.
Where are all those other Nations who could send people if not supplies. People who can distribute to more remote areas. Anyone living in the truly remote areas would not likely need food and lumber and electricity. They'd be self sufficient. People who know plumbing and water systems and can work with the electric company to get lines out there so the people have electricity. Builders. But - nothing and we keep giving those nations billions a year.
