I'm doing my outside gardening now after 7 PM when the sun goes behind the tall trees across the road. The older I'm getting the less tolerant of heat/sun and humidity I'm getting. What did mankind do before A/C?
There are 2 roads that lead or our road. All are unpaved. We all chipped in to get one covered with some kind of concrete-like paving. It's some kind of limestone that hardens when wet. So no problem coming in that way. The other road where there are half the number of people, they can't afford to have that done. They are dealing with sugar sand and having to be pulled free. It's kind of like dry quicksand. We never saw that before on that other road in. The area is getting larger by the day. Soon they'll have to park where it's still packed and walk in. The state wont pave the roads in here because they call it a private subdivision. Mail isn't delivered to our homes. It's delivered to large boxes with smaller boxes for each house or MH. We pick it up on our way in or out as it's right on our corner.
I'm curious as to what's going on with out neighbor to the north. Someone comes and feeds the dog, then leaves. Poor dog is alone 24/7 out in the yard area they fenced for him. We don't know if they moved to where their job is about 35 or 40 miles from here, if they went back to PR, if they passed away - I can't catch the person who feeds the dog. They're very nice people. I hope we don't lose them as neighbors.
