Club founders took the time to create Bylaws on how to conduct meetings, trials etc, not suggestions, When a breakdown by club Directors and Officers does occur,and they fail to adhere to those Bylaws, problems occur, like Article 10, sections 5 and 17 of the GNGC Bylaws,and when that issue is exposed, given an opportunity to explain, or, in some cases, defend the failure, they all seem to get a really bad case of the " quiets" . What's even more amusing, they all know they failed, and got caught in a cover up.
Seems 2026 is the year of " you said bad things about my dog, and hurt my feelings " printed on the scrolls coming from the Palace, the Ventriloquist tries to discredit, distract, and divert what really happened at a Club event. And finds a Bylaw to block or ban someone from several clubs. Maybe they should create a Officer Code of Conduct Bylaw, at one club event during picture taking of the winners, he says" you don't hear Christy complaining about being on her knees", at another club event, says something, to cause him to pack up and go home, same guy lies for 6 months about getting part of the awards to the winner. He's a liability to the Club, and the sport, but remains an officer, and key figure in the Bylaws failure. Leadership knows, and does nothing.
If you think your one of the Royalty, try using this line at the next drawing, " Oh No, I can't be braced with him, he's my scout" if it works, your Royalty, and also maybe a Ventriloquist
Trials seem to be less about the best performance by a dog, and more about the owner, handler connections, the Old adage, you can't win if you don't beat your bracemate, appears to be out the window.
If " hurt feelings " gets you banned, barred, there just might not be enough people to have clubs. Get rid of cliques and Buddy Clubs, then maybe true Champions will be named, and trials become fun again.
At the next meeting you attend, ask the questions, and see who answers honestly, or lies to your face, things need to change or the Sport ends.

All I’ll say is I’ve learned in life that those that throw around volatile accusations are oftentimes the worst offenders. They are in many cases in such a deranged state of denial that they are completely oblivious to how obvious it is to everyone else.
I find this posting inappropriate. There is only one person named in the post, a woman, and the comment reportedly made by an unnamed person about her is offensive. Despite the probably legitimate criticisms of the governing board of the club(s) in question, the overall impression of this post is marred by ugliness. No one gets a name except the woman. The writer hides names behind "Royalty" and "Ventriloquist" but has no problem, it seems, repeating a crude jibe using the woman's name. The real issue of club members not following by-laws gets lost. The posting should be removed.
Deb , it was offensive, and shouldn't be tolerated anywhere. I don't think i needed to name names everyone in the Coverdog world knows who they are. ZBTW permission was given to use the name.
Well, I'm in the Coverdog world, at least I think I am, and I don't know who they are, and frankly, I don't want to know. Unfortunately, I am not surprised that such a thing was said. I appreciate the clarification regarding the individual's permission to use her name. The sport of Gentlemen? Yeah, right.
