The Northern Michigan Cover Dog Championship will start Wed October 16 at 8am. All courses will be used in order beginning with course 1. We will run no more than 8 braces per day. Where ever we leave off one day is where we will start the next morning. We will post each evening how many braces that were completed and the next days starting course.
A small lunch will be provided each day at Alibi Hall. Saturday evening will be our Championship banquet served after the running that day.
The Wolverine Derby Classic will begin Sunday morning, time and course to be announced which depends where the championship finishes. ALL courses will be used in order for this event as well.
We have a very nice draw and the weather is looking favorable for a good trial. Spectators are welcome to attend and participate in all the social activities through out the week.
A friendly reminder if you have dogs staked out around the Alibi Hall and campground area they may not be left out unattended as per DNR rules. Thank you for abiding by these rules.

Day Four:
Another beautiful people day, clear blue skies temps reaching 70 degrees making bird finding very difficult. However 7 more dogs pointed birds today.
We got 7 more braces in today and leaves us 2 more for tomorrow starting at 8am on course #9.
The Wolverine derby classic will also start at 8am on course #13. We will run 5 braces and break for lunch and also announce the 2024 champion.

Day Two Once again today we were able to get 7 more braces done. So Friday we will begin with Brace #15 on Course 13/14. Another beautiful sunny day but making it tough in the afternoon to get birds pointed. But at the end of the day 7 dogs pointed birds. Still lots of time left to come out and enjoy some good dog work.

Cover Dog Ch update
Today was a clear bluebird day making it tough to get birds pointed but 5 dogs managed to accomplish that today. We got 7 braces in today so will begin Thursday with Brace 8 on course 15/16.
