Pa Outdoors Woman and Field Trialer, Bee Matson, Obituary and Arrangements

Field Trialers lost a special person yesterday when Brigette “Bee” Matson passed away after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Rob Matson, Pa Walking Shooting Dog Association President, had married Bee 21 years ago, she fell in love with him, then bird dogs where you would see her walking almost every brace at each trial they attended.
Bee led a great outdoors life, hunting, fishing, running, and climbing mountains. She was a profound educator and leader in her community of Brookville Pennsylvania.
Bee went fishing with our group in Canada a few years back, and I will not forget that she woke up every morning before everyone and ran 5 or more miles to start each day. She was accomplished in the outdoors, so she did not worry a bit about the numerous bears or anything else bothering her, someone to always have on your side. She was a competitive fisherman, logging many hours in the boat with us, casting and catching with the best of them.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and especially the field trialers who had come to know her as the kind, generous and pleasant person that she was.
