July 20th and August 3rd are planned worked detail days at the Gladwin Field Trial Grounds. We would like to meet at 7:30 for detail assignments and hope to head out to the courses by 8:00 to beat the heat. All 16 courses will need to be trimmed and painted. Some will need the DR mower. So far we have flagged changes to course 6 and 16. Others may be prepared by then as well. There will also be some minor changes to courses 13 and 14. There is a lot to be done so we hope to see you all there.
We had a very good turnout Saturday. Fourteen people were there to help clear and clean courses. We were able to get a lot of work done. We have a second workday scheduled for August 3. We have additional work on course 6, and several places to clear with the DR mower. We also have work to do on courses 14, 15, and 16. Course 16 will need a lot of work as we are changing the last half plus DR work. Also we are going to be using the puppy coarse that we used for the spring trials so that will have to be cleaned and signs moved back. Thank you to Brent and Denise Peters, Chris Wasserman, Rob Ellis, Lonnie Rademacher, Scott Hershner, Mike Brown, Scott and Tammy Chaffee, Ken Moss, Mike Singleton, Ken DeLong, Mark Dozeman and Travis Whitfield for all the help!
Reminder about work day: I was on the grounds on Monday and cover is very thick. Most courses will need trimmers, loppers and chainsaw work. Some will need the DR mower. It sounds like the weather should be good.
