    Update From Grand National

    Just a little update. Conditions have been tough for getting birds pointed. Cold, wet, and windy. Not sure on the number of clean dogs with grouse but know there are several. There are birds on every course and I am not sure that there has been a brace walked yet that a bird hasn't been seen. There are many helpful people helping out moving cars, marshaling courses, and helping handlers. One comment that came from the judges was how nice all the handlers are being towards one another and helping each other. We are down to the final 2 days, 13 braces to go. Wish everyone good luck!

        Brian, I also Thank you for the update! I wish I could have attended however I have a logger in working on a wildlife cut on the Stokey Diablo Jake course in preparation for next years Futurity and the Grand. Needless to say the entire membership of CVGDA is excited about next year. I might add also Minnesota Grouse Dog Club and Moose Grouse dog club. We would appreciate any divine guidance you can give us to host a successful Grand. Thanks so much!!

          Update from today. No dogs finished the hour with grouse. We had some finds but nothing that made the hour with birds. The birds are definitely getting harder to get pointed. 6 braces to go tomorrow!
