What an awesome turnout we had for our 2023 Gladwin Field Trial Grounds Work detail day. A great big thank you to: Travis Burnett, Dave Heavlin, Ryan Tracy and his son Reid, Shane Haskins, Jeff Sweet, Bruce Minard, Lonnie Rademacher, Mike and Kathy Lareau, Mike Brown, Mike Singleton, Marc Dozeman and his daughter and son-in-law Sammi and Ryan, their son Ryker and a niece Arie, Harold Holmes, Tom and Wayne Fruchey, John Clough, Dennis Keysor, Roger and Norma Johnson. Ken Moss also came out with Mike Singleton, Mike Brown and myself to do some flagging on Thursday prior to get ready for detail day. Thank you also to my wife Denise who organized lunch and the crews going out, while I ran the beast (DR mower). It all came together like we had it preplanned. The radios helped us keep everyone in the loop. By 12:30, we had all courses (16 of them) walked and trimmed. We also were able to make some needed changes to course 1. We never expected this kind of turnout, but it shows that Cover Dog is alive and well at the Gladwin Field Trial Area. This side of new summer storms, we are in good shape for our summer trials and fall championships to include the Grand. We still must cut out the new puppy course and have some suggestions for a slight change to course 16. So, those of you who could not attend, give me a shout as we still have a bit of work to get done to be ready for our fall trials. Again, Thank You!
