Tom, spray your dog with Ajax. It will be clean and no ticks.

                I use a soresto collar.
I cut it into four equal pieces and use Chicago screws to attach to the inside of their daily collar.
From my observation I've seen dogs covered with ticks with other treatments because it requires the tick to bite the dog to kill it.
I don't want them on the dog period.
They can transfer to the vehicle, home, family, friends, or myself.
I had a rough period around 2016 that years later was suspected to be lymes.
                I was a train wreck.
The topical treated dogs had dozens yet my dogs had none.
A good friend uses cattle tags and that also works

I used cattle tags. Took one tag folded it and put a rivet through it
then threaded it on the dogs collar. I would use scissors to cut some of the tag off to make it smaller because I was concerned I’d
poison the dam dog. I mean two tags go on one cow so how much of a tag do you need for one dog? So it was guess work. That’s why I went to Soresto collars. But I will say with those cattle tags the ticks would almost jump off so you wouldn’t take any home with you. I had a female whose heat cycle was really messed up and I suspected the cattle tag. Never sure though. ?????
