I think everyone knows it by now, but the Champion and Runner up for the Northern New England Open Woodcock Championship are CH. BLUE RIBBON HARPER BELLA female pointer, and RUNNER-UP CHAMPION, NEO, male setter.
Much will be written about this championship in the days to come. Harper was handled by Robert Ecker and is owned by Martin Festa. She turned four in April. She had nine perfect finds and a breathtaking race. Neo is just three years old. He was expertly handled by Adam Dubriske and is owned by David Theroux. He ran first thing Saturday morning had we were all buzzing about him for the rest of the day. The judges gave Honorable Mentions to Sterlingworth Jack SM (Neo's sire!) owned by Jim and Anne Millett and Dr. Peter Millett and handled by Robert Ecker and last year's Runner Up Champion, Stokely B Ricky, SM owned and handled by Tony Bly.
