The inaugural Black Moshannon fall wild bird trial will be run on September 22-25
The trial will be held on the grounds of Moshannon state forest, Black Moshannon Tract, Philipsburg, Pa.
We have an outstanding slate of judges, and I'm very happy to have Dick Brenneman helping to judge in this trial since its in his back yard.
Open shooting dog - Starts Thursday Sept. 22, with a start date of the 21st depending on entries Seven - 45 minute braces run each day Judges are Jeremey Estep, Jeff Keller $60 entry fee; 50% pay out - 50-30-20
Open derby - Starts Saturday Sept. 24 Eight - 30 minute braces run each day, more at the discretion of the judges; run on multiple courses Judges are Rob Boos, Dick Brenneman $45 entry fee; 50% pay out - 50-30-20
Open puppy - Saturday Sept. 24 20 minute braces run on a single course Judges are Eric Locher, Doug Phillips $30 entry fee; 50% pay out - 50-30-20
The first brace each day will start promptly at 8 AM each day.

Eight, 45 minute shooting dog courses are marked and trimmed, now its a matter of deciding seven which courses will produce the most birds.
Four, 30 minute derby courses are also set up going thru some of the best woodcock cover in the area. I'm hoping to add a 5th course if it produces birds for me.
