    Pointer Stud Dog

    I'm thinking about breeding my wild bird dog one day and want a dog proven on wild birds. I'd like to keep it to a 6-8 hour drive from the Louisville, KY area.

    The ability to find and handle wild birds is the biggest trait that I'm looking for with stamina, biddability, and style 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

    I prefer average or slightly smaller than average dogs, but I'll consider bigger if the other traits are there.

      John Stolgitis's CH Panola Bacon.

      Superb Grouse dog, multiple Champion on wild birds (at a young age), & better yet, Bacon is throwing awesome pups!
      Depending on your dogs pedegree, he definitely should be considered.
      John is in Rhode Island. I don't know how far that is from your location in Kentucky. I have a young one out of Bacon, probably the best that I've ever had. At 1 & 1/2 this last fall I was running her in wild bird Championships!! She came very close to winning in a couple. She's that good! A littermate sister, out of Bacon, won a Grouse CH this fall -again that's at a year & a half old!
      Bacon pups are excelling, very bidable, extremely classy & most of all, they are tremendous bird finders.

      I'd talk to John, if it was me.
