    New England Amateur Woodcock Classic

    What a great weekend for the New England Amateur woodcock classic,great weather,lots of camaraderie.Arcadia was once again showcased as the premier spring woodcock field trial grounds in the country.In ten braces of running 57 woodcock were officially moved with many others unofficially moved.Judges Adam Dubruski and Steve Forest had many championship worthy performances that they could choose from for this classic.Taking the blue ribbon with two finds and a classy fast and forward race was Snuffmill Riley handled by Lanny Dellinger.Second was multiple title winner Springbrook Maximus.Max had powerful forward race and three finds for handler Russell Ogilvie.Third went to the reigning National Amateur Grouse Champion Little Miss Bella for handler Tim Cavanaugh,Bella had three finds and a strong race.The judges commented on the number of dogs they had to consider.Congrats to all the amateurs that came out to compete.
