Billy Jackson died today

Most of you won't know him, A few might. He was nearly 16. The only Setter I've owned and the only Setter I'll ever own. He was a thorn in my side for half his life and nearly perfect the other half. I'm sad, but glad I new him.

Sorry for your loss we had a littermate to your dog we affectionately called her see ya latter Sadie needless to say I know your pain. We are now have some of her grand sons what wild bird dogs they are you just have to keep up. I am sure you will miss him

What a great long life he had. I was happy to be a small part of his life. Always a tough day though. You guys experienced a lot together.

Don, Thanks to your " favorite Setter " I went places in the Run River Forest while scouting him, that I haven't since, and probably won't again. Never an easy day.

That's always a sad day, Billy was a very nice dog. 16 is a ripe old age; you have a knack for keeping them going.

Thanks John, One of my good memories is Billy pointed in the bottom of a big canyon in Nebraska and your son flushing a big covey of Quail.
