After talking to clubs and members, it is the consensus to reinstate the annual summer membership meetings. The traditional date was the Saturday prior to Father’s Day. This year this date will be June 20, 2026. After a random “out of the hat” drawing, the following is the schedule. That being said, not all clubs will take an hour to complete. All clubs should prepare to meet when the previous club is finished so that we can move along and get out as soon as possible. The grounds will provide a light lunch (TBD). DNR Bruce Barlow is planning to be in attendance for the Grounds meeting.
All club officers, directors, members and participants are encouraged to attend. This can be an opportunity to get more participants involved, and in joining a club. If the first two meetings adjourn early, we will start grounds meeting early and possibly combine with lunch. The grounds meeting may be the longest meeting of the day.
10:00 – 11:00 BEAVERTON GROUSE DOG CLUB
11:00 – 12:00 LAKE STATES FIELD TRIAL CLUB
12:00 - 12:30 LUNCH
12:30-1:30 GROUNDS
1:30-2:30 NATIONAL OPEN GROUSE CH ASSOCIATION
2:30-3:30 RUFFED GROUSE FIELD TRIAL CLUB
3:30-4:30 MICHIGAN AMATEUR FIELD TRIAL CLUB
The Grounds meeting will be conducted to discuss new course changes and suggestions. We will set a cleaning up date(s) and discuss strategies to get it done prior to fall championships. However, before August trials would be a good target to test drive.
Respectively,
Brent Peters, Grounds VP
