Lake States will need all the help they can get to marshal braces and move vehicles. The last stake of the season gets pretty thin on help. Bryan Wood unfortunately will not be able to make it this year.

PREDRAW INFORMATION REPEATED: We will be drawing 45 dogs for our Championship. Due to entries, we will be starting on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. We will run 7 braces a day on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Then Final two braces will run Saturday morning. We will begin on course 1-2 every morning. We will be using courses 1-2, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 15-16. We would like to begin as close to 8 a.m. as daybreak allows. Each day, we will run two braces, then stop for coffee/snacks at the end of course 5. We will run two more braces and then come in to the Alibi for a hot lunch. On Saturday, we will begin the derby (18 dogs – 9 braces) on course 7 as soon as we can after the CH starts. We will use courses 7, 8, 9, 10,11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. We will try to get 3 braces of the derbies in before we go back into the Alibi for the CH announcements and Coffee Break. We will be in contact via radios to coordinate. After the announcements, we will conclude the derby stake.

HANDLER’S DINNER: With the change in days of running, we will be hosting the Handler’s Dinner on Friday night after the day’s running. My cooks informed me today that the menu will be Chicken, Deb Singleton’s Cheesy Potatoes, Homegrown green beans, Pasta Salad, Applesauce, pickles, and desert. Saturday (weather permitting) we will be tailgating Pizza.
