The New England Amateur Woodcock Classic is scheduled to begin on March 15.We will once again be featuring a 1000$guaranteed purse.Judging this year’s classic will be Tim Cavanaugh and Russell Ogilvie.We will once again be hosting our prime rib and seafood dinner Saturday the 15th sponsored by Trey Rector and last year’s winner One Acre Wood Lucky.Lunches will be donated by Jon Cullen s Asper Hill Bandit.An elaborate cocktail party will be sponsored by Bill and Karen McFadden owners of third place dog last year Mohawk Mill Miss You.Thank you to all for your generosity.
The Southern New England Woodcock Championship will follow on March 17.Judging this year’s renewal will be Brian Dix and John Olfson,thanks to both for agreeing to judge.Last year’s winner Cracklin Tail Rosie owned by Bob Little will be hosting a Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner onSt Pattys day.
The Joel Collier Derby Classic and Coverdog Puppy Classic will follow the Championship,derby judges are Mike Flewelling and John Stolgitis,puppy judges will be Owen Comeau and Lanny Dellinger.Should be a great week of wild bird trials.Look for particulars in the American Field or back here as we get closer to the trial.
