If the American Field does not do the right thing and settle this... I strongly suspect the price of poker will go up...and up. I would say that in a litigation setting, denying a dog a championship title has to be worth at least a 100K bump to the damages, maybe more. Any moves of this type might also be considered prejudicial to their case and subject to a court issued restraining order. Again, I am not a lawyer, but....
In poker, you can bluff until you are called. Then you have to show your cards and either win or lose.
In litigation, you can stall until you get inside the courtroom. Then you have to present your case and either win or lose.
It is truly sad that it has come to this.
But as long as folks bring dogs to the line and cut them loose under judgement, we can still expect to discover which was the best dog, that day.
