I do know that a/c is a brutal chemo. She should tell her Onc of any herbal things she is taking. They could interfere with the chemo. I took lots of supplements, but had my Onc's approval.
Your sister needs to be sure she is eating, even if it's just a few bites of food every few hours.
Also staying REALLY hydrated is critically important during the actual chemo drip and right afterward AND the days after chemo. It will help a lot. If she feels really bad, she needs to call the Onc. She may just be dehydrated, which will make her feel horrible. I drank little sips of gingerale every 15 minutes or so.
She should also take her anti nausea meds whether she needs them or not. She may already be doing all these things. I just want to make sure she is aware of them.
I'm sorry she's had to go through all this again, especially after Stage 0. Glad you are there for her.
One other thing. I felt really bad after treatment #3 (dehydrated & didn't know it). For the 4th one, I elected to have it done over a 24 hour period in the hospital. It was the best decision ever!!! I didn't feel bad at all.
Let us know how she is doing!
