We could have a discussion about the opener SP, but I have NOT heard of any solid potential solutions to it. If an SP isn't that good, they get an opener, at times. Do we really want to reward that in some way? It hasn't caused a real problem up to this time, but we can monitor it, just like everything in the MLB and CJIBL.
