Matawan tabs Hurston Waldrep as their Game 5 starter. Waldrep has had an interesting journey this season..while struggling in the minors, he was traded to Matawan from Colorado as the "rental fee" when Colorado was in a roster situation and needed to field a legal lineup.
A few weeks later , Matawan was in a similar roster crunch, and needed a healthy player. Chicago offered a rental, and Matawan offered Waldrep, Chicago turned the offer down and requested a 10th round pick instead because he "could use the pick to get someone who could actually help my team at some point " Matawan agreed to send the 10th round pick.
Now Waldrep gets to pitch in a huge spot, on the biggest stage in Fantasy, for Matawan. Interesting how things turn out.
