Now let's talk about the future. Robin "No Picks" Stillwell has proven you don't need draft picks to build a championship contender. His methods may be unorthodox but everything finally seems to be clicking in Connecticut. Eric "Magic Man" Sabol whose team always looks like shit on paper somehow is managing to win games at an impressive rate by pulling a rabbit out his ass. This GM has got more tricks up his sleeves that cannot be seen by the naked eye. Not too far behind we got Louisiana whose off to a nice start led by Dan "Draft Prodigy" Polack. This guy gets more talent in rounds 5 and later than most clubs get in the 1st or 2nd. "Nasty" Nestor Cortes in the 5th, Jeremy Pena in the 6th, Tylor "DeGrom Who" Megill in the 8th, are you kidding me? We haven't seen such a draft acumen since the self proclaimed "best drafter in the CJIBL" in JJ Burke. We're probably looking at Al and NL CY Youngs and AL Rookie of the year right there.
Bottom line, the question Florida Headhunter GM Mike Burke posed,"Are we seeing a changing of the guard in the CWD?" The answer is yes, sorry Dean and Nick, it's over for you. Now how you like dem apples?
