Good evening everyone. Even though MLB and the Players union have ther heads up their collective asses and would rather spend the off-season posturing and not actually showing they have a sense of urgency on the 2022 season, the CJIBL draft 2022 will go on as scheduled. Menu will be burgers, dogs,chicken, sausage from the grill. Robin will bring chili. We will also have Lasange. Soft drinks will be provided as well. Anyone wants any other beverages, BYOB. If anyone has any suggestions on anything else (salad, etc) let me know.
A few requests. Obviiusly COVID is a concern. The recent numbers in the state and the northeast in General have been going down. This does not diminish the seriousness of this situation. I am not requiring anyone to be vaccinated to attend, that is your personal choice. I would ask that anyone who is attending just take a test before draft day to be sure there are no concerns. I am sure nobody would want to unwillingly pass something on to anyone unintentionally.
If you are not comfortable with attending in person, or will not be attending for any other reason, the chat room will be up, or we can set up a zoom or another link. If anyone wishes to stay and crash for whatever reason, that offer is also on the table as well. To help defer cost of food, customary draft day donation will be accepted, 5 to 10 bucks, whatever you feel comfortable with.
We start at 12 noon with the ceremony of the trophy. Feel free to show up anytime. Seriously. Get here at 9 if you want. It has been 2 years since we saw eachother, showing up early isn't a problem.
