I have searched for information on this family for many years, I have never been able to find anything on Columbus and his wife Martha Wadkins Taylor as to their death dates or where they may have been buried but this is my latest thoughts on them, any ideas or thoughts would be great. thanks....


***** In the 1880 census, Columbus was not in Allen Co., Ky. HIs wife Martha was not there either and their son William Samuel was living with his grandparents William and Matilda Taylor. I have found a Columbus Taylor living as a hired hand in the home of James McGehee in Bartholomew, Lincoln Co. Ark. he is listed as a widow and from Tennessee. He is from Ky but as we all know the Ky Tenn state line runs through some of the family properties. It may not be the right Columbus but I am searching for more info. I believe Martha passed away and Columbus left their son with his parents and left the area for awhile. He was back in Allen Co., by 1885 at least as there was an article in newspaper abt him at that time.*****
