Sepia toned studio-type photo of Henry Moore and wife, Rebecca Kemble, with six of their seven sons, and an unidentified late teen female (not their daughter) probably taken ca1875-1879. Each of the four older boys (ages abt 6, 8, 10 & 13) appears to be in some sort of uniform... white long-sleeved shirts, dark pants, and dark, full kerchiefs or neckties with a white swastika-type symbol emblazoned on each. What is the signifcance of these "uniforms?" Could it have been from a school or church in the Allen Co. area? They didn't leave Allen County until 1894 when these boys were all much older. Ancestors of this family were Shakers and died in Shakertown, Union Co. Could this have anything to do with the uniformed appearanced of the boys? Need help on this one!!!!!
