This from my sister who has an obit written by Robert W. Huntsman about Lemuel S. "Pink" Trammel(a son of William Henry Trammel) in 1899 of near Forest Springs. He was laid to rest in the home church yard, Union Chapel Church, in sight of his fathers residence.
And this from Mary Hodge in Feb, 2008: I visited Allen Co Ky last year and bought a copy of the Allen Co. KY Family History book. I was reading last night and came across this item on page 127.
"Union Chapel United Methodist Church: On Sep. 20 1869 at Butler School House Union Chapel United Methodist Church was organized.......Daniel Dalton was the 1st pastor. He served as pastor for 20 years......
..A list of the first 18 members are Daniel Dalton, Nancy Dalton, Moses Mayhew, Jacob Mitchell, Elizabeth Mitchell, Steven D. Wolf, Mary R. Wolf, Daniel Huntsman, Amuriea J. Huntsman, John W. Trammel, Martha J. Trammel (John and Martha are my family), Henry M. Huntsman, Matilda Huntsman, Frances Cole, Elizabeth A. Huntsman, John A. Bond, Malinda Bond and Martha J. Wolf. There are many descendants of the original members in the church today........ There have been three churches constructed. The present church at 1599 Union Chapel Road is near the location of the first church......"
This is all I have on the church and grounds. Any thing that can be added would be appreciated.
Clint.
