I meant to add previously, regarding that previous Bill that was created to allow Tony Benn to renounce his title, that it seems to be now superseded completely by this latest House of Lords Bill, insofar as current British peers are not required to stand for the Commons under their own given name. The title itself is no longer a factor. Of course, I suppose an hereditary peer could also be given a life peerage, and still gain entry to the Lords.
