That "personal grant" you reference is surely the Dukedom of York at the time of his marriage - so in due course any heraldic reference or detail attached to that dukedom will be removed in due time by the College of Heralds...if it hasn't already happened?

I think the only change to his arms is that the riband of the Order of the Garter is now gone.
The shield, crest, and supporters were a personal grant and the coronet is that of a child of the sovereign (independent of the title of Prince, actually), so it would take some extra work to get rid of those.
