Thank you Karen ! I was there also ! I got my ticket in the ballot ( applied in Jan) tickets (2) arrived about 3 weeks ago. I have been to most Royal events but never this , it was very good . I could not believe the area we were assigned to stand in …one row ..just us , under the Round Tower! We got to Windsor at 1116, on the 1038 train from Paddington . We went for a coffee then joined the fast moving queue to get in. Once we had settled in I asked if we could walk around … of course , as long as you are back her by 210pm, at that time nobody can move . Closer to 2pm one of the guides / members of staff (?) from the Castle took his position beside us , he knew a lot about what was about to happen ! At 240 the Garter Knights and preceded by a military band leave that Castle and walk to the Chapel , followed by the Royal Kights ( Duke of Kent and I am sure it was Pss Alexandra in seperate cars ) . TK & Q bring up the rear of that group , they were probably 3m from us with only one Welsh Guard standing infront of us. The Service was relayed via speakers to us outside . After the Service 4 Ascot landaus ( Royal Ascot starts tomoz ) brought the Royal party back to the Castle , by us again ! I remember removing my hat and nodding to the Pss Royal and she waved ! ( of course removed it as every carriage went by , and nodded !) . On another note as I was walking to get an ice cream (2 scoops £10) I bumped into Marlene of Royal Musings fame
