I don't think it does count. If I understand correctly, the Duke of Alba bears the Spanish creation of the Berwick title. The Spanish creation could, in certain circumstances, be inherited by a female, as it was by the present Duke's mother Cayetana.

Then there's the English version of Berwick, but opinions differ as to whether it even exists (Parliament forfeited the title in 1695). The inheritance of the British title was male only, and so is currently held by a cousin of the Duke of Alba. This "English" Duke of Berwick, being childless, will likely be the last..... (or something like that!)
