This is very unlucky for the King. He has been in good health so far and kept himself fit in every way. Both parents lived into their late nineties and a grandmother died a centenarian. It merely goes to show that genetics and healthy lifestyle don't always guarantee protection from these kind of health issues but his overall good health should stand him in good stead for making a complete recovery.
Gosh … just switched over from The Chase to BBC1 news at 6pm where the announcement was made … first item on the news .
More news to follow I guess. Apparently it’s not prostate cancer .
King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer and will be taking a step back from public facing duties, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The monarch says he feels "wholly positive" about his treatment and will "continue to undertake state business and official paperwork as usual".
