I've often thought there might not be a Family Order for ladies, as we have known it, in this reign.
The King and Queen might have other ideas, preferring an Order for both men and women who meet some criterion.
Yet the Royal Victorian Order recognises some distinguished personal service to the Monarch.
So there might be a "replacement" on the drawing boards, for both the RVO and the Family Order.
It would honour and reward both men and women for distinguished personal service to both the Monarch and the Consort. Edit: That should say "to either the Monarch or the Consort" It might be named for Charles and Camilla - or it might not.
I wonder what others think about all this.
