That may all be true, but then factor in also in more recent times what the media has aleady begun to point out regarding this particular Saudi CP - namely the allegations surrounding the death of Mr. Khashoggi. So, at least a perceived "controversy" there, although I don't know how the King may see it, quite possibly he will hold his nose and continue as planned.
The BRF has had strong (incl financial) ties to the Middle Eastern monarchies including SA. They never seemed too bothered by the human rights situation before. The wealth, purchasing power and commercial opportunities of SA will smooth things over very quickly.
Not at the level of a state visit since it's only the visit of a crown prince, but apparently there will be an official visit by the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Sulman in October. According to this BBC article - already somewhat mired in controversy given the visitor's past alleged history.

Several newspapers, including serious ones like The Times, report that the state visit to France has been rescheduled to take place 20-22 September. The visit was due to be the first state visit of King Charles III earlier this year, but was cancelled last minute due to ongoing protests in the French capital.
The King (and one would assume also Queen Camilla) will visit Paris and Bordeaux, and there might be a banquet at the Versailles palace.
Tatler has an article here:

I have not seen any rumours of an incoming state visit this autumn. Would anyone know if one is scheduled?
