Everyone actively contributing and supporting the Coronation on 6 May - including choristers, police officers, military personnel and St John Ambulance personnel - as well as those directly involved in the delivery of the Coronation will receive the medal.
It will also be given to serving frontline members of the police, fire, emergency services, prison services and armed forces that have completed five full calendar years of service. It is expected that more than 400,000 Coronation Medals will be issued.
I didn't think the Charles III Coronation medals were out yet. Mike Tindall is def. not wearing it. He's wearing Jubilee medals from QE2. Charles III Coronation medal will have a ribbon above the medal with vertical stripes from left to right : red blue white red white blue red . Some stripes are thin some thick. The Earl of Snowden's medals are all from QE2 also. If you look closely you can see her effigy on the medal.
(See the linked article for photos.)
I see a number of male extended royal family members
wearing medals at the coronation of King Charles III. I believe they are the Earl of Snowdon, Viscount Linley, Peter Phillips, Mike Tindall, and the Earl of St. Andrews.
What is the significance of these medals?
