Personally, I wouldn't mind if the husband of a Princess was also granted a princely title.
Looking at other European monarchies there are some precedences. Daniel, the husband of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden was made a Prince of Sweden in his own right.
The concept of Prince/ss in his/her own right doesn't exist in Sweden. Princess Sofia became a Princess when she married Prince Carl Philip. She is just as much a Princess as her sister-in-law Princess Madeleine. A Princess is a Princess.
The King of Sweden does not have the right to confer Noble titles.
