There has been no Scottish Coronation since the Union of Parliaments in the 18th Centuary. In 1953 at St Giles Cathedral here in Edinburgh a Natonal Thanksgiving Service was held where the presentation of the Honours of Scotland, including the Crown of Scotland, was made. However Her Majesty did not wear the crown.
