I have read it a few times and it clearly states Queen Consort , not Queen consort ...I am hoping the media just forget it and refer to her as The Queen, however we know how much difficulty the media has with titles !!
From memory , there were two statements by the Queen that referred to Camilla's future status.
The first swept away the Princess Consort nonsense. I say nonsense because the consort of a King is always a queen.

The second statement I thought was clearer that the Queen was not dictating a precise title. I wish I could find the second statement.
No...on 6 Feb this year The late Queen issued a statement stating that Camilla will be known as Queen Consort...this sits uneasily with me TBH. The wife of a king is a queen , as well as his consort , as Charles is the consort of Camilla. I have been looking at old movie clips , The late Queen's mother is always referred to as The Queen, as was her grandmother . In 1952 we had three queens alive , nobody got confused we knew who was who. If The King was still married to his first wife would she be Queen Consort or just Queen?
The wife of George VI was usually referred to as the Queen. I think the use of Queen Consort is, as Nellie says, just for this transitional period.
