Good on him, sometimes humour is a saving grace even in the midst of grief! And imagine the combination of stress both emotional, mental and physical he is under - along with baggage of grief. He is his own person, not his father OR his mother, and history will judge him accordingly, not according to some PC preconceived rulebook of underlying hate.
