My question is: would the NORWEGIAN constitution have allowed such a thing, in the hypothetical scenario whereby the country's queen consort or king succeeded as the sovereign or another country?
§11 of the Norwegian Constitution
"Kongen må ikkje ta imot ei anna krone eller regjering utan samtykke frå Stortinget, og til det krevst to tredjedelar av røystene."
Translated to
"The King may not accept any other crown or government without the
consent of the Storting, for which two thirds of the votes are required."
But politically it wouldn't have worked, as Norway had a new found freedom after a long history of beeing the "second realm" under a foreign Crown.
