The couple is due to visit many of the same countries they visited during the Golden Jubilee tour ten years ago. Does anyone know how they were received back then?
The Earl and Countess of Wessex are due to begin a tour of several eastern Caribbean islands in the next few days of the month. I took an interest in this, and the reporting so far, inasmuch as I've also visited all of the island destinations on their itinerary - along with the Bahamas and Jamaica that the Cambridges recently visited - and so I have a basis of first-hand knowledge to understand the distinctions between each island. Some of the reporting that I've read so far, seems to rely on generalisations of the region and glib observations about the Cambridge trip, rather than understanding and respecting the individual identity of a place and its history and present-day situation. Hopefully, there will be some intelligent (and fair, and substantiated) reporting given to the Wessexes going forwaard. The link I have here I would personall only rate as "semi-intelligent" but then again better than none at all. https://www.newsweek.com/prince-william-kate-middleton-tour-crisis-raises-stakes-royal-caribbean-visit-edward-sophie-1694982 " border=0>
