You've asked something similar to this before, but you said it "money marks", or "An Angel" as Prentice would call it. Taking some with little to no knowledge of pro wrestling on as a "investor" and then using them for money till it runs out, then try and find a new "Angel". Selling a "territory" to someone like that at a high price, then they don't know how to run it, and doing dirty tricks behind the scenes to make it impossible for them to run it anyhow, then offering to buy it back at a low price, like the promoter buying it back feels sorry for that person and is doing them a favor. I don't even mean Prentice, but people from opposing promotions calling codes on buildings, calling tv stations, calling sponsors, telling talent if they work for so and so you'll never work here again. All that sort of stuff. Part of is a guy like Prentice just knows so much about the wrestling business, and knows all the pitfalls others may not, and he's not concerned with letting them walk right into the pitfalls, in fact he'll kinda sorta lead them right to them. Then oops! lol A guy like a Chase Stevens has certainly suffered for his art, meaning he's not rich. Far from it. I'm sure he's worked various day jobs off and on. he's been around so much he knows what he's doing too, of course, but he's never made big money in wrestling. I think a lot times on the small indy shows selling the gimmicks is the main thing for the guys and gals.
