Absolutely saddened to tell people Tracy Smothers has lost his cancer battle. I got it confirmed by someone very close to the family. I was lucky to have met him a few times over the years covering events in Tennessee and each time he was a gentleman. Hopefully his kids and friends can find solace in the fact he is not in pain anymore.
