Appearing on the Steve-O podcast Wild Ride, Rousey admitted that she loved WWE and all the women in the locker room and she had a great time in the year that she was there leading
up to WrestleMania 35. “Running out there and having fake fights for fun is just the best thing! I love choreography…
love acting. I love theater…live theater and some of the last forms of live theater,” Rousey explained.
But while she enjoyed all of that, she didn’t enjoy the time away from her family and claimed she was only home a day and a half every week when she was working. “It was just not
worth it for my family because we were eliminating all of our expenses and living this lifestyle…we didn’t need it…we
didn’t need the money,” Ronda said.
And then came the dig to the fans. WWE fans, while most accepted Ronda, there were still many who did not appreciate her crossover from MMA and those fans were very, very vocal
about it. Ronda questioned why was she doing wrestling and not being able to spend time with her family when in return she’s entertaining those fans. “What am I doing it for if
I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of f*cking ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me?”
Ronda added.
“I love performing. I love the girls. I love being out there…but, at the end of the day, I was just like, ‘F*ck these fans, dude.’ My family loves me and they appreciate me
and I want all my energy to go into them. So that was my decision at the end of the day,” the former champ concluded."
Ronda has not been seen on WWE television ever since main eventing WrestleMania 35 with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. She was recently pictured at the WWE Headquarters
with Cain Velasquez. Ronda took time away from her WWE deal to concentrate on starting a family.
