Things aren't going to be back to normal in a week. I've been thinking about when I was a kid hearing old people talk about living thru the great Depression, and it changed those people forever, that always stayed with them. I think this is gonna be like that, it's gonna change some aspects of life and society forever.
There is over-reacting going on for sure, but I also think erring on the side of caution is for the best right now.
There are things I'm heartened about though. The virus has slowed way down in China, all the new found interest in hand washing is going to cut down on other forms of sickness, and yeah there's been way too much hoarding, which is mostly fear based, but all in all so far people have been very pleasant. I'm hoping it will increase a lasting spirit of we're all in this together on this planet.
Whether people like Trump or not, I think he's the wrong guy to be the leader during this crisis. He's too impulsive, worries about himself too much, and people around him are too afraid to speak up and occur his wrath. That said, he's made a few good moves so far, and I'm cheering for him, and all of our elected officials, to step up. The Governor of Kentucky here is doing a truly sensational job of staying on top of it. I could care less what party anyone is in.
This is just a bizarre giant reset button for the whole world it seems.
