There's obviously a controversial choice on the list and I'll just say that the list takes into account all of the things above for the full year and not just opinions that most of us disagree with.
There were a lot of really talented guys that I couldn't confirm 10 matches for. Many of the AWE guys, O'Shay Edwards(who moved to Baltimore), and a handful of newer guys or guys who don't consistently work shows with results regularly reported.
This is ultimately my opinion. Feel free to disagree. Feel free to make your own list. I've received a lot of positive feedback on prior lists for recognition, motivation, exposure, and even validation for guys with their family and friends. I've also been told where I can put my list. Either response or reaction is fine. You don't have to care about my opinion or my list but if you do care, hit me up and let's talk before you get mad. I'm human and always have some accidental ommissions but also I may not know you yet.
Thanks to every wrestler who sacrifices to compete and perform in the state of Georgia. We are blessed to have so many promotions worth working for and so many talented and hard-working men and women.
Enjoy.
1. AC Mack - The most charismatic guy in the state can also bring his working boots. He's on top everywhere he goes and is hitting the roads...and the air for bigger opportunities. The sky is the limit for a guy with a look(that is always improving), work(see AC Mack vs Curt Stallion from Action), and crowd controlling mic work.
2. Logan Creed - The MLW signee has put in time and work within and beyond the state to earn a contract with MLW. He's a mobile big man that has sacrificed for years to achieve his main event status everywhere in Georgia.
3. AJ Gray - AJ Gray is the kind of guy who wrestles in 20+ states a year and won't be outworked by anyone. He's physical and with only a couple of years experience, he's already risen through the ranks of many top independent companies throughout the US and done some international work. He has major league potential.
4. Corey Hollis - Last year's #1, Hollis may be wrestling's last true heel. He's a master of psychology and storytelling to the point that he makes you forget that he can actually mat wrestle with the best of them, brawl, and go to the air for something crazy once in a blue moon, which he'll probably deny.
5. Slim J - More of the world got to find out what Georgia has known for many years in 2019. Slim J had some featured matches during WrestleMania weekend, killed at PWX, and continued to dominate within the state borders.
6. Joey Lynch - The singles and tag team specialist is as smooth as they come in the ring. He traveled extensively and continues to be one of and to work with some of the best wrestlers in the world, seemingly impressing everyone along the way including Christopher Daniels in 2019.
7. White Mike - 1/2 of the GymNasty Boys, Mike packs personality, punches, and passion that is undeniable. He has an underdog appeal to him and then wins fans over with his sense of humor and wrestling ability.
8. Sal Rinuaro - 2019 was another year that Georgia was graced with Sal Rinuaro. He can do it all in the ring and most importantly makes people watch and care.
9. Timmy Lou Retton - Timmy is the other 1/2 of the GymNasty Boys. He's deceptively athletic and always entertaining.
10. Chip Day - Georgia's independent workhorse spent another year proving himself against some of the best wrestlers on earth.
