Sad day. I remember he said his doctor told him he didn't have long to live, regrettably turned out to be true. The guy is an all time legend in pro wrestling, and could have been even more of a legend had his WWF run gone better. I go all the way back to the beginnings of his career, saw him several time live in Green Bay for the AWA when he Leon "Baby Bull" White, and I liked him then. Saw him against Stan Hansen, and in a weird "match"(?) against Bruiser Brody, where Brody basically refused to get in the ring at all, save for a few brief moments. I also saw him on a WWF house show in Nashville against Shawn Michaels. I don't think any wrestling fan will ever forget that smoking helmet he had, that was such an amazingly cool visual. RIP Big Van Vader.
