The Paul Jones' Army vs. Jimmy Valiant feud had to be the longest, most terrible feud ever but like you said, perversely entertaining because of his buffoonery & his parade of mid-carders he had in the Army though Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude were a good team & The Powers of Pain were perfect foil for The Road Warriors at the time. He was a serious wrestler before my time but I have seen him wrestle a handful of times but he was a manager by then so I don't really take those matches seriously. He held a lot of titles though & had feuds with some of the Mid-Atlantic's best. I may have to check out some of those matches.
