making Red Robin

Does anyone have any suggestions? I can do the head easily enough, but the chest for an articulated body has me stumped. I made a Red Robin figure with no articulation using a Mid-Nighter figure and painting it while giving up on whatever it is that crisscrosses his chest. The cape is also easy enough, just take Robin from the DCU classics series. Maybe the arms and legs from that, too. The harness from Stealth Wolverine (or whatever it is, wings strapped to his back)would do in a pinch, but I have only the one. The idea is to make something that can be reproduced and go on ebay for something approaching cost. I have a Red Hood figure (Moon Knight, Robin head, weapons from ML series 6 Punisher, ML Gambit's coat, rubber mask from a 5" Batman figure) I'll put online when I have a photograph. I'd like opinions.
