I watched probably 90%, if not more, of the MWS. It aligned perfectly. I was doing remote work at home, the wife was out of town, so the stream was on for a very long time in my house. The crews were great. They had different styles; some more serious and professional, others would goof off and keep it entertaining and humorous. The scheduling was great because it seemed like there'd be a more serious crew followed by a laid back crew, and nothing got repetitive. I can't think of any camerawork issues, which should show that they did well. The camera crew should almost appear to be nonexistent, since you don't notice the camerawork unless it's bad. |
Only one team of announcers caused me to shut the stream off completely and go do something else. I even made sure that I ran my errands during their next scheduled appearance. Not going to name names because we all know who that crew was, and the player will be checking this thread and replying to people who mention him.
I understand having the sponsors or equipment reps in the booth. They're professional, they aren't going to say anything troublesome, and they do a lot for the game. However, with the advertisements running every half inning, the last thing that I want to hear during the broadcast are advertisements about their products. I get that it's their job and the entire point of all media is to sell products in some form or fashion....but I just felt like someone was always trying to sell me something when the equipment reps were in the booth. It wasn't even subtle or slick either.
